PFD Pool Plunge
March 26 @ 12:00 pm - 1:00 pm

Ever tried to swim in your Personal Flotation Device, more commonly known as your PFD? Especially while fully clothed? It’s MUCH tougher than it looks!
The PFD Pool Plunge is a rare opportunity to try this out while fully dressed, in a safe, not-too-cold environment at Stan Siwik Pool in Lethbridge. This is a learning opportunity to recognize how to wear your pdf correctly, what size is appropriate for you, and how to help yourself should you end up in the water.
- Bring your own pfd, or use a pfd’s provided by the pool.
- Bring a towel and a complete change of clothing for after the event.
- Please ensure your pfd (if using your own) and ‘plunging’ clothing are clean, without any oils, perfumes, or soaps in them.
- Empty your pockets before the plunge.
- Maximum 50 participants.
Admission is free for this event, but for DASA adult and youth members only. Membership information can be found here.
Best of all… unlike tipping a dragon boat, this will be fun!
