Canada Day Dragon Boat Demos

The annual Canada Day Dragon Boat demos are held annually at Henderson Lake at the main docks from 10 am to 5 pm on July 1. Volunteers are needed for 3.5 hour shifts to assist with public registration and waivers, support for equipment (pfds, paddles, etc.), dock crew, and as experienced paddlers, steers, and drummers. The event is hosted by the Lethbridge Leftovers Dragon Boat Team, with the support from DASA and community teams gratefully acknowledged.

This is a fun way to bring our sport to people who may be completely unaware of dragon boating, and has introduced many new paddlers to DASA. The event is weather-dependant, based on wind, precipitation, and temperature. Sign-up as a volunteer here!
